Have you experienced that long reports can be difficult to understand? Not all reports are equally motivating to read from cover to cover.
However, we wanted to do something about that.
Together with Digdir, we wanted to explore how a team consisting of a visual designer, a UX writer and an administrative designer could assist in facilitating the final phase of a longer investigation. The client was the Ministry of Local Government and District Affairs (KDD).
The work resulted in a digital report. Here, Halogen took responsibility for structure and visualisation, as well as sharpening the content to ensure that the report responded to the assignment description.
The topic for discussion was how the public sector ensures citizens' rights to access their own personal data.
Halogen's interdisciplinary design team proved to be an excellent combination of different knowledge and experience.
Through creative processes and design methodology, Halogen contributed, in close dialogue with Digdir, with new perspectives and input that simplified and raised the quality of the investigation.
"Halogen was a listener and had a diverse knowledge base that gave a holistic understanding" - Project manager Leo Sande Gasnier, Digdir
Jumping into the rush of a government investigation was no joke. At the same time, it provided many interesting experiences. Time was short and the team had to make smart choices.
We prioritized getting an overview and understanding enough of the investigation to contribute where the needs were. Each team member created their own areas of responsibility, while at the same time functioning as a whole, where solutions were created together.
